Welcome to
Roseberry Primary
and Nursery School
A Message From Our
Head Teacher
The pupils, staff and governors extend a warm welcome to our school website. We hope that we can offer you some information about the wonderful things we do here at Roseberry Primary and Nursery School.
Our school building was 100 years old in 2021 but we had a full interior remodel in 2012 to modernise our classrooms and communal areas. We welcome children from the ages of 2 to 11 from the neighbouring villages of Newfield, Pelton, Grange Villa, West Pelton, High Handenhold and beyond. We offer very competitively priced breakfast and after-school clubs for pupils from Reception to Year 6 as well as a wide variety of free extra-curricular activities. Please see the School Clubs section for further details.
School Vision
At the heart of our community, we provide a safe and inclusive environment where individual achievement is proudly celebrated at every step. Our engaging and exciting curriculum inspires our pupils to explore the world and broadens their horizons in readiness for the adventures ahead.
Roseberry: Respectful. Resilient. Ready for life.

Book Fayres
Scholastic Book Fayres are well-supported by our children and their parents and families. We try to coordinate the Book Fayre with our reading events. The commission raised through these events are used to buy books to enhance our classroom libraries.
Book Group
Mrs Dunn and Miss Blakeney run a Book Group that has proven extremely popular with our upper key stage 2 pupils. Who wouldn’t enjoy the chance to sit down with friends to explore and discuss opinions on a shared text? Especially, when there’s an end of year tea...
Bedtime Stories
Every Friday, children in EYFS and KS1 take home a ‘Bedtime Storybook’. These books are for parents to read to their child and explore together.
