Miss Paisley – Cherry Reception/Year 1 Class Teacher
When did you start working at Roseberry?
I started working at Roseberry in September 2023.
What is your role in school?
I am the Reception/Year 1 class teacher.
Why did you become a teacher?
I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl! I used to play schools with my Grandma who was also a teacher and loved to be the boss!
What is your favourite subject and why?
In school I loved English as it was our chance to be creative and write lots of stories with our own characters. I love teaching Maths because I enjoy showing children the many different ways to work a question out using different resources to make it interesting and interactive.
Do you have a favourite book?
I love ‘Pass the Jam Jim’ because that was my favourite bedtime story even before I could read. It has lots of rhyming which makes it even more enjoyable!
What is your favourite food?
My favourite food is definitely potato skins with a garlic dip and chicken pasta.
What is your favourite sport?
My favourite sport is Netball as I used to play Goal Attack when I was at school but I also loved to dance and attended a dance school from age 3.
Do you have any hobbies?
I love to go to Zumba with my friends as it keeps me fit in a fun and energetic way. I also love to go out for meals as I love trying new foods and restaurants. I love going on holiday and visiting new places!
What do you like about working at Roseberry?
I love how supportive the other teachers are in school. If anybody needs a helping hand, there’s always someone you can ask. I always love seeing the children’s smiley faces every day when they are in and around school.
