A Message from Our Head Teacher
The pupils, staff and governors extend a warm welcome to our school website. We hope that we can offer you some information about the wonderful things we do here at Roseberry Primary and Nursery School.
Our school building was 100 years old in 2021 but we had a full interior remodel in 2012 to modernise our classrooms and communal areas. We welcome children from the ages of 2 to 11 from the neighbouring villages of Newfield, Pelton, Grange Villa, West Pelton, High Handenhold and beyond. We offer very competitively priced breakfast and after-school clubs for pupils from Reception to Year 6 as well as a wide variety of free extra-curricular activities. Please see the School Clubs section for further details.
We have extensive school grounds which include several playgrounds, a large playing field with wildlife pond, a quadrangle, an allotment garden and a nursery outdoor space. Our wonderful Roseberry pupils are a credit to our school and to their families, polite, friendly and helpful, hard-working and caring. Our staff team are highly-skilled, friendly and passionate about providing the best school experience possible for our pupils. We have an active, supportive governing body who are committed to the ongoing development of our school.
Our school motto is ‘Roseberry: Respectful. Resilient. Ready for life.’ We feel that this sums up our efforts to ensure that children leave us as proud, upstanding citizens, ready for the next steps they will take in life. We warmly welcome any visits to school from prospective parents who would like to come and experience for themselves what a friendly atmosphere our school has.
I look forward to welcoming you into our school community.
Best wishes,
Emma Dunn
