Mrs Nunn

When did you start working at Roseberry?
September 1990. I left for a couple of years in 1997 but returned in 2000.

What is your role in school?
EYFS Lead/teacher

Why did you become a teacher?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I love working with children and wanted to make a difference to their opportunities and school experiences.

What is your favourite subject and why?
My favourite subject would be literacy. I love to read and I think that the more we read the more we know and understand of the world around us.

Do you have a favourite book?
My favourite children’s book is The Bad Tempered Ladybird. I love that the ladybird is cross and argumentative at the start of the story but then realises that it is unnecessary after meeting many unusual animals.

What is your favourite food?
My favourite food is jam roly poly with custard!

What is your favourite sport?
I really enjoy skiing, although I am not particularly good at it!

Do you have any hobbies?
I love reading and I also love going for walks with my dog.

What do you like about working at Roseberry?
I have loved working at Roseberry Primary since I joined the team over 30 years ago. Even though most of the original staff have now retired or moved on to new places I still love the ‘family’ feel of our school. The children who attend our school are talented, caring and resilient. They amaze me with their love of learning and their community spirit.
