Pupil Premium Impact 2013-2014

  • 80% disadvantaged pupils passed the Year 1 phonics test compared to 83% non-disadvantaged pupils. Both groups were higher than national comparisons which were 63% and 78% respectively.
  • The average points score of disadvantaged pupils at KS 1 was higher than their peers nationally but was slightly lower than non-disadvantaged pupils within school. (It should be noted there were only 3 disadvantaged pupils in the year group). 2014 results show a significant improvement from the previous year.
  • Disadvantaged KS 2 pupils’ attainment was less than non-disadvantaged and lower than the national average, except in Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling results. However the progress of disadvantaged pupils was above that of the non-disadvantaged 101 : 99.4 (100 being the average) and also above the national (99.7).
